Artisan Wednesday Wow Blog Hop- I Love Summer!

Welcome to Artisan Wow Wednesday Blog Hop!
You've probably just arrived here from Cindy's Blog.
She creates such beautiful things and I'm always excited to see what she comes up with next!

Today I have a fun Summertime gift. I LOVE summer.. especially the beginning of summer. It's not brutal hot yet and I'm not tired of my kids' constant fighting yet.. LOL!! So, I made a little summer treat box to celebrate the start of my very favorite time of the year.

I started with the MDS Mini Box Template. I imported it into my E- Cutter and cut it out of Baked Brown Sugar CS. Love, love, love this color!

Before I put it together, I punched holes in the sides using the 1" Circle punch. I backed the sides with pieces of Coastal Cabana DSP. Don't these two In Colors go so well together? Love both of them!

After I adhered the box together with Stick Strip, I added a row of  Coastal Cabana Ruffled Ribbon along the inside of the box. I love the tiny little edge it gives the box.

the tag was created very easily with the ABC 123 Sketch and Outline Alphabet and Number sets. I am terrible at lining letters up, but I feel like these stamps are cut well and make for much easier alignment. You can see mine isn't perfect, but I think it's good enough.. ;-)

I finished the box off with 1/8" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon and a Hardware Clip.

The box is filled with Seashell Soaps I found at Pier 1. They smell so nice!!

Thanks for hopping along today. I hope you enjoyed your stop here at my blog.
Up next is the amazing Heather Summer's! Make sure to hop on over to her blog to see what wonderful things she is doing!

New Video; Imprting a unique MDS object into an E-Cutter

Hi everybody! I'm back from Disney World and it feels good to get ink on my fingers again! We had a BLAST and I was really sad to leave! I took 1400 photos.. yikes!!!. So, needless to say, you will be seeing tons of Disney scrapbook pages in the coming months. :-) In fact, if you follow me on Facebook, you've seen my first project! An Autograph Photo album that has already been sent to print!

I was anxious to make a video for yesterday's card. I've gotten lots of emails since I began using an E- Cutter with MDS, so I know you all are curious. So,  I want to show you what I'm doing! Because I am now on summer vacation, I hope to make lots of videos for you!

Today's video was created using a free online software. It's my first time using it, so I don't know how to get rid of the "highlighting" yellow circle. hopefully it's not distracting and I will try to get it off for the next one!

Here is yesterday's card.

The video shows you how to create the lemons!

PLEASE leave me some feedback! I want to know what you want to see and what you are interested in. I also want to hear your questions. Let me know what I can teach you! I'm SUPER excited to create a video series on this!

Pucker Up!

Omg! I am in LOVE with this stamp set!
How cute is that lemon!? It's from the set called  Crazy, Mixed Up Love. And the other images are equally adorable!
Crazy, Mixed-Up Love

And, see that chevron?  That's a STAMP!! Yep, you read that right!! It's called Positively Chevron and it's a large background stamp. Yummmmmm! I stamped it with Daffodil Delight ink on Daffodil Delight cardstock. The other paper is Strawberry Slush DSP. (I apparently can't create anything this week without this color. I'm ok with no Regal Rose now that I have this color!! LOVE it!)

Did you notice those lemons? Can you guess how I made them?? Yep, MDS!! I know, right! I stamped them with the Gorgeous Grunge and inked the edges really well. I think they look pretty real!

I plan on doing a video on this, this week! I PROMISE!! I should be returning from Disney today, so give me a couple of days and I will show you how to create a unique image in MDS and then import it to your E-Cutter. It's super simple and really, the possibilities are endless!

Today is the LAST day for my Disney Special!!

Yellow Polkadot... (SCIC 67)

It's mid-month inspiration at Stampin' Celebration

I continued with the yellow/grey theme again when playing with this sketch.

I created the large polka dots by using the "throw away" pieces of rubber that were in the middle of the Daydream Medallions. I used the polka dot and chevron prints from the Daffodil Delight prints in the Brights DSP Stack. The cute little tag is from Chalk Talk.

Here are both of my cards from the SCIC challenges this month. They make a great pair I think! Make sure you hop over to SCIC and get inspired!

You're a Brick... (FMU114)

House! :-)

We've got a FUN challenge today at The Friday Mash Up!!!

1. Use the Brick Wall Technique.
2. Use the sketch.
3. Mash them up and use both on one project!

I will admit, the Brick Wall Technique is not something I'd ever heard of! I had to do my research! (That's what I LOVE about the girls at TFMU! They are always challenging me to do new things!!) I used the AWESOME new stamp set that is a must have; Gorgeous Grunge. Seriously, this set is so on trend and everybody needs it!! I stamped them in Versamark and Soft Suede on Soft Suede Cardstock. I embossed the versamark prints with Black Embossing Powder. After I cut them into strips, I adhered them onto Cherry Cobbler Cardstock. I finished it off with the Bombs Away sentiment and a Early Espresso 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Bow.

hope you will join us this week at The Friday Mash Up! Make sure you check out how the other ladies used this challenge.

This month's 3D item at Stamp Club is this cute little Post It Note Holder.

I stumbled upon this little gem on Pinterest and followed it to Denise Sullivan's blog where she gives you directions. I changed it a bit to fit the big post its, but for the most part, it's the same.

Ink and Paper: Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush, Whisper White, Quartrefancy Specialty DSP
Other: Simply Scored, Big Shot, 2 1/2" Circle Punch, Apothecary Accent Framelits, Artisan Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals
