Accordion Mini Album Tutorial

Mini Albums are so on trend right now. And, I've become addicted to making them! I came up with an easy way to create your own album simply out of cardstock and today, I'm going to show you just how simple it is!
Here are three mini albums I've made in the last couple of months.

Today's tutorial is going to show you exactly how I made the Disney Autograph album, but all of them were created with the same basic construction.
1. Cut six 5 1/2" X 7" pieces of Baked Brown Sugar. Score each on the  longer side at 2 1/2" and 5 1/2".

2. Place Sticky Strip along the sides as shown. Fold the left side over first and then the right side over that. Seal along the bottom and side. This creates your pocket for each page.

3. Cut another piece of Baked Brown Sugar to 3" X 8". Starting at 1", score every 1/2" stopping when you get to 7".

4. Fold the piece accordion style and place Sticky Strip as shown.

This is how your piece should look. The end pieces should be flat.

5. Carefully, place the sealed end of each pocket onto each piece of Sticky Strip.

This is what it will look like when all six pocket pages are in place.

6. Cut two 3" X 7" pieces of Baked brown Sugar Cardstock. Place one on the front and one on the back of the accordion piece. These are your covers.

This is what it should look like at this point.

7. CUt a piece of Baked Brown Sugar DSP 3" X 4". Score at 1 1/2" and 2 1/2".

8. Place Sticky Strip on the two end flaps. Squeeze your accordion together and set it down into the 1" section in the middle. Adhere the two flaps to the book.

This is what it should look like now.

You are done with the basic construction of the album. You can embellish it anyway you want!

These pages were pockets, but you could do just plain pages. I cut cards to go inside each pocket to add the autograph. The cards measure 2 3/4" X 6 1/2".

Also, a fun way to embellish it is to slip lots of ribbon through the binding and have them come out the top. I tied them all together with another piece of ribbon.

Hope this inspires you and you can find ways to use this tutorial! Please link pictures in the comments if you make one. I'd love to see it!
